Hoteliers Sue and Laurel on holiday

Hoteliers on holiday (Sue & Laurel)

Owners, Sue and Laurel are both retired nurses who threw in their city jobs to live by the sea in 2007. They love to share their beautiful space & meet people from all over the world. To help you get the most out of your visit to this very special part of Australia don’t hesitate to contact them direct as they would be happy to share their secret tips of the local area and beyond.

They have both traveled extensively and know what makes a great stay and they look forward to welcoming you to La Perouse Lorne soon.

We are small, safe, luxurious and unique.

As a hospitality provider we offer a quality experience. We aim to be transparent in what we communicate and look for ways to improve our service. We always try to do what feels right as a brand and in line with our values. To us, kindness is treating everyone with understanding and respect, from our suppliers to our guests and everyone in between.

We want to make our guests feel welcome, relaxed, safe and pampered when they stay at La Perouse. We have created an oasis of beauty where our guests can feel good.

We like to try new things, step outside of our comfort zone and find different ways in order to be sustainable and reduce our footprint on the earth and be luxurious at the same time.

La Perouse is a small hotel by the sea located in Lorne, a popular destination on the Great Ocean Road, halfway between Melbourne and the 12 Apostles. Our lovely establishment has undergone an extensive transformation over the years. There are four beautifully appointed rooms all with ensuites (some have baths as well). Breakfast is served daily from 830am in the La Perouse kitchen or on the terrace Parisian style (depending on the weather).

We have welcomed travellers since 2007. We are located within walking distance to all of Lorne's attractions. Every day is an opportunity for discovery: trendy boutiques, magnificent waterfalls, the latest restaurants run by famous & talented chefs, the cutting edge art gallery in the bush & the magic of the Great Ocean Road and beyond.

Small but perfectly formed the building’s architectural details feature timber inside and out to give a coastal feel. The garden is a work of love and the kitchen, complete with library provide a variety of private spaces to chat, read a book or just relax. Or you can just sit and watch the ever changing scenery from your private balcony or join us on the terrace complete with ocean view for an afternoon aperitiv before heading out for dinner.

ROOMS

Rooms include classic, deluxe and a small suite. Each room has been individually designed with all the little touches that make you feel at home.

As proud patrons of creativity, we feature original works made by Australian artists throughout the hotel. Many of the bowls & cups used in our kitchen are hand made with love by Australian potters. Graeme Wilke, Andrew Allen & Suzanne Bellamy to name a few. We have been collecting the work of Suzanne Bellamy for decades, you will find her bowls, paintings and sculptures on display for your enjoyment.

If you discovered La Perouse Lorne via our marketing initiatives or simply by word of mouth from guests who have stayed we would appreciate it if you could book direct and help support small business. We make a donation to not-for profit organisation, Somebody's Daughter Theatre from every booking that we receive direct.

There's no better compliment than our guests telling us they don’t want to leave.
