Hospitality at its best. Highly recommend!

The 2 women who run it really know what hospitality is actually all about. They're friendly, personable, prep an amazing brekkie and keep everything squeaky clean. Also it's hard to measure the sheer softness of the beds. All that on a great location to explore the wider region. .”

“A little gem in beautiful Lorne. If you’re looking for somewhere special to stay on the Great Ocean Road then look no further, this is the place. Do yourself a favour and book a few nights in La Perouse. It’s way more than your usual B&B and way better than a large hotel. Thank you Laurel and Sue for looking after us so well. If we didn’t live 10,500 miles away we’d be back next weekend 😂! “

Spent just the one night here, travelling from Koroit to Melbourne with a planned stop off at Winchelsea. Now wishing we’d stayed longer. Warmly greeted by Laurel upon arrival and treated to a welcoming coffee before being shown to our room which was an absolute delight. View to the sea and overlooking lush foliage and autumn colours on the neighbouring trees. Our bed was incredibly comfortable, pillows ‘just right’ (which doesn’t always happen) Bed linen was top class and we slept so very well. Helped by the complimentary bubbly (thanks Laurel) Suggestions of places to dine on our one night in Lorne paid off well with a lovely dinner at Marks Restaurant. Thanks for the tip.
And our stay was rounded off nicely this morning with a wonderful breakfast of the supposedly ‘standard breakfast’ that left us totally spoilt beyond measure. Both Laurel and Sue couldn’t have been more hospitable and made our stay absolutely wonderful. We highly recommend La Perouse to anyone wanting a bit of spoiling and a lot of serenity. It ticks every single box ... and then some. Hope to be back .... you are definitely the ‘hostesses with the mostest’.

French provincial feel in our 'backyard'

A very nicely furnished and decorated French provincial style B&B in a quiet part of the iconic Australian seaside town of Lorne. The proprietors make you welcome from the outset with your room allocation on the chalkboard at the door (as we arrive after business hours). After a comfortable night's rest, 'petit dejeuner' is ready on the dot of 8am with seating inside or on the small balcony facing towards the ocean. Fresh juice, muesli, croissants and pastries as well as tea or coffee, but unfortunately eggs are extra. The owners are very friendly and happy to have a chat while at the same time efficiently attending to the needs of guests (most of whom are international travellers). This is one of the best run B&B's that we have stayed at anywhere in the world and we are delighted to recommend this to other Francophiles.

I've stayed in MANY hotels and B&Bs around the world and La Perouse easily goes into my top 5. This place is so delightful - everything about it from the super friendly and helpful staff to the beautiful linens and super cosy bed and suites. Truly an exceptional place to stay, the decor, the breakfasts, the lovely surroundings. Dont look elsewhere in Lorne!

“Spent two relaxing nights whilst exploring the area. Perfect place to unwind and as I was travelling alone it was lovely to enjoy a chat over breakfast. Laurel provided impeccable advice on the best sites to visit and the French style breakfast was delightful. Glorious garden surroundings. Highly recommended.”
